That way, I could honestly say that I have 'the last of the V8 interceptors'.

Heck, I'd take any Interceptor.

Me too, to be perfectly honest. Fuel prices be damned.

You can get good (20mpg+) fuel economy out of a 440. It just takes some clever carb and intake tuning, a lot of power, and a lot of coasting on good rear end gears. Or so I've been told.

I can believe that actually, but I doubt I'd be able to resist the temptation to gun it every now and again.

I know it's not really the point, but it's probably cheaper to get a Ford XB GT..

I haven't seen a '76 Jensen for sale in a long time, and it was going for around $120kAUD (granted it was absolutely mint condition)

Mad Max Interceptor goes for. Here's a replica film car for $76kAUD (the price seems high but that's about how much they can reach in standard trim if they're in good condition)

I can't think of what the cost would be importing one of those all the way over to Blighty.

Jensen's still aren't cheap over here, but there are definitely more of them around in their home country.

Plus, I think I'd feel like a bit of a tit driving around the sleepy villages of Southern England in a Mad Max Interceptor :)

You'd be royally screwed on import duties and VAT that's for sure. The cost of putting one on a boat isn't super crazy though.

but yeah.. you'd have to go the whole hog with the sleeve missing on your jacket and a Blue Heeler on the passenger seat.
